What's going on during the COVID-19 measures?
We are offering pickup of carryout beer and food and plenty of outdoor seating. We are now open indoors on the 2nd floor at 25% capacity (38 people). Please ask the bartender for 2nd floor seating. Currently, tables are limited to 1 hour as per Baltimore City Order.
We have portable propane heaters to keep you warm - just ask the bartender!
Taproom hours are Mon-Wed 4pm-9pm, Thurs 4-10pm and Fri & Sat 12pm-10pm and Sun 12pm-8pm.
We no longer deliver, so please order Checkerspot cans from your local liquor store for delivery!
We have protocols in place to disinfect the bar, POS system, restrooms and tables & chairs and anything else that comes into contact with customers regularly and in between customers. Our bartenders always wear gloves and facemasks. We also are treating our HVAC ducts with UV.
Anyone must wear a facemask when entering and inside the 1st floor taproom and maintain at least 6ft distance from others. If you are standing, your facemask should be on.
What are your hours?

Fri & Sat 12 - 8pm
Sun 12 - 6pm
We are OPEN on New Years Eve, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, MLK Day, President's Day.
We are CLOSED Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day
Do you have parking?
Yes and a lot of it! Directly across the street is a large, free parking lot on Sharp St. Also available are the lots on either side of Ostend St. as well as around the corner on Leadenhall St. The only exception to this is home Ravens games when the lots turn into tailgate lots.
Are dogs allowed?
Yes, but not on the 2nd floor taproom.
Are you kid friendly?
Yes, but children must be closely attended by an adult at all times.
What are your gluten free options?
All of our beer is treated with an enzyme that reduces gluten below detectable limits. One of our owners, Rob, has a gluten sensitivity, so he has to be able to drink the beer too! Our beer is brewed with barley and some wheat, so cannot be called truly gluten free. We have a gluten free option, generally cider or seltzer, available. We also have several gluten free food options.
What are your non-alcoholic alternatives?
We always have something non-alcoholic like fresh pressed apple cider, locally fruited lemonade, fresh pressed local juices, and birch beer.
Do you have food?
We do. There is prepared food available behind the bar at all times, including items like pickles, jerky, Amish cheese plates, smoked salmon, and Cornish game hens. We always have hot food specials Thurs 4 - 8pm, Fri & Sat 12 - 8pm and Sun 12 - 6pm. We have a full kitchen available for catering and special events as well.
Do you have private space for events?
Post COVID, we do! The second floor has a private bar and can fit about 150 people comfortably (non-COVID). We have hosted engagements, birthday parties, showers, wedding rehearsal dinners, anniversaries and other fun events. We have also hosted several corporate events, beer pairing dinners and fundraiser events. Please contact email@example.com for more information and pricing.
